Fifteen unhurried days for a honeymoon or anniversary trip — longer stays in each place than our standard routes, from Negombo's beaches through the cultural triangle and hill country to a scenic train ride into Ella, a Yala safari, and a final stretch on Galle and Weligama's beaches.

Arrival — Negombo
Begin your trip in Negombo — the fish market, a beach walk, and a seafood dinner on arrival night.
Negombo → Sigiriya → Minneriya → Polonnaruwa
Three nights based around the cultural triangle — Sigiriya rock fortress, a Minneriya safari, and the ruins of Polonnaruwa.
Sigiriya → Kandy
Two nights in Kandy — the Temple of the Tooth, the lake, and the bazaar at an easy pace.
Kandy → Nuwara Eliya
Two nights in tea country, with time for tea-estate visits and Lake Gregory.
Nuwara Eliya → Ella
Take the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella, then three nights to properly explore Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge and Ravana Falls.
Ella → Yala National Park
A jeep safari at Yala in search of leopards and elephants.
Yala → Galle → Weligama
Head to the south coast for two nights around Galle and Weligama.
Galle → Departure
A final morning on the coast before transfer to the airport.

The extra nights go into staying longer in fewer places — three nights around the cultural triangle, three in Ella — rather than a faster-paced circuit, which suits most honeymoons better than covering more ground.
Can you arrange anything special, like a private dinner?
