Arrival — Chilaw
Transfer to the seaside town of Chilaw for a first night by the coast, known for its fishing industry and mixed religious communities.
Chilaw → Wilpattu → Anuradhapura
A stop at Wilpattu National Park en route to the ancient city of Anuradhapura.
Habarana
Travel to Habarana, a good base for the cultural triangle.
Habarana → Dambulla → Sigiriya
Visit the Dambulla cave temple and climb Sigiriya rock fortress.
Sigiriya → Kandy
Continue to Kandy, set around its highland lake.
Kandy → Wasgamuwa National Park → Mahiyanganaya
A safari at Wasgamuwa National Park, home to large elephant herds, then on to Mahiyanganaya.

Travel up into the hills to Nuwara Eliya.
