Drive to Colombo to see some of Geoffrey Bawa's most famous works.Visit the Sri Lankan Parliament Building, which is considered to be one of the most important buildings in the country. See the Seema Malaka of Gangaramaya Temple, a tranquil meditation hall that is built on stilts over the water.

After arriving in Colombo, we will head straight to Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka. This UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts an array of well-preserved ruins from its glorious past. We'll explore these ruins and delve into the rich history that surrounds Anuradhapura.Next, our journey continues to Wilpattu National Park, the largest national park in Sri Lanka. Known for its diverse wildlife, Wilpattu is home to elephants, leopards, and crocodiles.

We head to Polonnaruwa, the second ancient capital of Sri Lanka. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Polonnaruwa boasts an array of well-preserved ruins from its illustrious past. We'll wander through these ruins, uncovering the rich history and stories of Polonnaruwa.Next, we will hike to the top of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a 5th-century marvel constructed by a king with a notorious past.

Next we will be traveling to Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with historic statues dating back thousands of years. This evening , we will be traveling to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka. Check into your hotel and relax in the city's beautiful surroundings.Upon arrival in Kandy, we'll dive into its vibrant tapestry of history and culture aboard a tuk-tuk. Explore the city's myriad temples, palaces, and ancient landmarks, including a visit to the revered Temple of the Tooth, home to a sacred relic of immense significance in Buddhism. Later in the evening, immerse yourself in a captivating cultural performance.This day ensures an unforgettable experience amidst the beauty of Kandy and the spiritual allure of the Temple of the Tooth.

Ella is surrounded by rainforest, many waterfalls and endless green hills. The temperature is pleasant and fresh compared to the rest of Sri Lanka. Ella is also known for its misty mountains. You cannot escape the weather and you will have to deal with the fog (or rain) that can sometimes make your picture or even break it. Those mountains, however, make Ella a great hiking destination. If you look for some food variety Ella is great too, it offers many restaurants with cuisines from all over the world.
